Every session is different because every family is different. We’ll talk through what you want, how you’d like to feel on the day, and what kind of photographs you want to live with afterwards — then build the session around that. No conveyor belt, no script.

Family sessions
From small families to large extended gatherings. We have the time, the space, and the patience to get a beautiful set of pictures from a session that’s actually enjoyable to be in — not endured.
Children & teens
Portraits that capture who they are right now — not awkward, not staged, not the same backdrop everyone else has. Whether toddler, teenager, or somewhere in between.
Babies & newborns
Maternity, newborn, and first-year sessions in a warm, calm studio set up for tiny humans. Plenty of props, plenty of patience, and the kind of care that lets you actually relax during the session.
Cake smash & splash
Big, bright, gloriously messy first-birthday sessions. The cake gets demolished, the photos are unforgettable, and we handle the clean-up. Splash sessions add water for double the joy and triple the puddles.
Business portraits
Professional headshots and team portraits for company websites, LinkedIn, press, and brochures. Studio or on-location. Quick, friendly, and tuned to make even the camera-shy look like themselves on a good day.
Pets & pet portraits
For dogs, cats, horses, and the occasionally photogenic rabbit. With or without humans. Well-behaved pets warmly welcomed — treats accepted, leads optional, mess forgiven. We know what we’re doing.

In 2016 I was named UK Portrait Photographer of the Year — alongside runner-up placements in three consecutive years either side. Sustained recognition rather than a one-off lucky win.

One roof, four operations

The studio, shop, and lab all share the same space.

Unusually for an independent photography business, everything happens under one roof on Marlborough High Street — meaning your session, your prints, your framing, and your enlargements never leave the building. It’s why we can promise quality control most studios can’t.

The studio
Properly equipped portrait studio with professional lighting, backdrops, and props — the same setup used to shoot the work that’s won national awards.
The shop
Walk-in counter for prints, passports, ID photos, advice, supplies, and conversation. Open Monday to Saturday.
The print lab
Professional photographic and commercial printing in-house — your portraits printed on the same equipment we use for our award work.
Framing & finishing
Mounting, framing, canvas wraps, and bespoke finishing — turning your session into something to hang on a wall.

Also available: commercial & destination weddings

Outside the studio, I still take on commercial photography by enquiry — corporate, editorial, product, and location work. I also photograph large, multi-day destination weddings — recent celebrations have included Mauritius and Milan. These are big, expensive, fully-bespoke events; if that’s what you’re planning, please get in touch directly.

Common questions

Before you book.

How long does a session take?
It depends on what we’re shooting. Newborn sessions typically take 2–3 hours because babies need to be calm and fed. Family and pet sessions are usually 60–90 minutes. We don’t rush — the best portraits come out once everyone has relaxed, and that takes time.
What should we wear?
For families, coordinated rather than matching works best — neutral tones, similar levels of formality, nothing with large logos or busy patterns. We’re happy to advise before the session if you send us a quick description or photo of what you’re thinking.
Will we see the photos before we buy?
Always. After every session we set up a private online gallery, available for 30 days, where you can view the edited selection at leisure, share with family, and pick favourites for printing or framing. No pressure-selling, no high-stakes viewing appointment with the photographer leaning over your shoulder — just time to enjoy the pictures and decide what you’d like.
My toddler / baby / dog won’t sit still. Is this going to be a disaster?
Genuinely no. We’ve photographed children who hated photographers, dogs who lunged at the camera, babies who screamed for the first thirty minutes, and toddlers in full mid-tantrum — and got beautiful pictures from every single one. Patience and decades of experience win every time. Bring snacks, bring favourite toys, and let us do the worrying.
Can we bring more than one pet?
Absolutely. Multi-pet households, animals plus humans, even households where the dog and the cat won’t be in the same frame — we’ve done all of it. Tell us what you’ve got and we’ll plan the session accordingly.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes — portrait session vouchers make excellent gifts for new grandparents, family milestones, birthdays, and Christmas. Available through the shop or online; drop us a message for details.
