Most people don’t realise photo albums come in three quite different formats — and the right one depends on what you’re putting in it, how often you’ll revisit it, and whether you want to add captions and bits and pieces alongside the photographs.
Slip-in albums
Each photograph slips into its own clear sleeve. No mess, no glue, no fuss — and the pages keep your prints flat and dust-free. The most popular format for everyday photographs and travel albums. Usually 6×4 or 7×5 specific.
Traditional albums
Plain pages where you arrange photographs yourself using photo corners or adhesive tape. More work, but completely flexible — you can mix sizes on a page, add captions, scrap-book bits and pieces. The choice for wedding albums and curated collections.
Self-adhesive albums
Sticky pages with a clear plastic overlay that holds photographs in place. Quick to fill, easy to rearrange. Yes, they’re still made, and yes, people still love them — especially for mixed-size prints and casual everyday collections.
